Air Operators Certificate
Private Operators Certificate
GAR 125 (Complex General Aviation) requires a Section 77 Approval (Private Operator Certificate/POC) for certain aircraft and operations. This includes aeroplanes exceeding 5,700 kg, those with turbojet engines, or with more than nine passenger seats, as well as helicopters over 3,175 kg or with more than five passenger seats. A POC is also required for operations involving employed pilots or as specified by the Director of Civil Aviation. The process has three phases: registration, airworthiness, and flight operations.
