2-REG will validate flight crew licences issued by appropriate ICAO contracting States. The same privileges as on the host licence apply for the validation. The flight crew licence validation will be valid for 1 year or up to the host licence expiry date, whichever comes first. Further requirements and eligibility can be found in GAR 61 and GAC PEL-1.
A radio license is required for all aircraft equipped with transmitting radio devices. For 2-registered aircraft, such licences are issued by Ofcom. As part of the registration process, each aircraft is issued with a unique transponder code by the 2-REG. The transponder code may also be used for programming the Emergency Locator Transmitter.
