Modifications
Guernsey does not issue type certificates, but issues a type acceptance certificate. The basis for this is a TCDS issued by EASA, FAA, UK, ANAC or TCCA. The aircraft will follow the Guernsey jurisdiction. However, the type certification, as per GAR 21, will be on the basis of the type certificate issued by EASA, FAA, UK, ANAC or TCCA.
The owner will need to select a TCDS to follow from one of these 5 jurisdictions as well.
We’ll accept the minor modifications for any of the above jurisdictions.
For the major modifications, they’ll need to be the same as the selected TCDS. Or a bilateral needs to be in place between the jurisdictions.
The parts can be of any of the above jurisdictions, whilst on 2-REG.
